What it does
This AI agent processes Excel spreadsheets containing financial information from 10 different energy systems and automatically creates a consolidated view. Each system has different line items, but the agent aggregates the data into a single Consolidated tab with accurate figures. The prototype demonstrates how AI can handle complex spreadsheet tasks that would normally require manual data entry and reconciliation across multiple sources with varying formats.
How we built it
The team built the solution using Claude to process the Excel file. They provided prompts that instructed the AI to read financial data from 10 different energy system tabs, each with different line items, and generate a new Consolidated tab that aggregates the information.
Impact
The agent addresses the time-consuming task of manually consolidating financial data from multiple sources with inconsistent formats. It produces clean, accurate consolidated data automatically, eliminating repetitive spreadsheet work.
