GenHax Opens Beta Access for U.S. Colleges and Universities

The AI-powered challenge platform lets institutions test real-world, challenge-based learning and skills assessment this fall.

NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2026: Higher education is changing quickly. Artificial intelligence is reshaping how students learn, how educators design coursework, and how institutions evaluate what students know and can do. Institutions now face a practical question: how do they prepare students for an uncertain future while making sure that academic achievement reflects real ability?

EDUCAUSE's 2027 Top 10 report, The Age of Perpetual Change, urges colleges and universities to identify where AI delivers genuine value and to prepare students for a volatile world. Durable capabilities such as adaptability, complex problem-solving, and collaboration are developed through application, experimentation, feedback, and demonstrated results, not through information transfer alone.

GenHax today announced beta access for colleges and universities across the United States. The platform lets faculty place learners on real challenges posed by companies, nonprofits, and research labs, connect them with industry mentors, and report on learning outcomes. Institutions can run a private test challenge in minutes at app.genhax.com/academia. Learners work in private team workspaces, earn expert skill badges, and build a portfolio of completed work.

GenHax is already used at Purdue, Georgia Tech, CUNY, Wright State, Northeastern, and more than 130 colleges. Interested institutions can start free and contact hugo@genhax.com or +1 917 355 2313 to learn more.

“Educating for the Unknown We are now preparing learners for jobs that don’t yet exist, with tools that didn’t exist last year, to solve problems we can’t yet name. AI has collapsed the half-life of what we teach, shifting education’s mission from transferring knowledge to building the capacity to learn, unlearn, and relearn alongside intelligent machines. [Let faculty leverage] entrepreneurial best practices for moving from access to equity, protecting integrity and critical thinking, and reinventing our institutions to lead what’s ahead. “ Alex Goryachev”
